Starting the right guys

O.K. follow me. It's all about playing the best guys or as we like to say "Riding your big horses". So, when you compare the top 10 points leaders to the top 10 starting points leaders, it should be the same list, right? Not so.

(Place kickers and Tight ends not included because they're boring)

#1 Aaron Rogers, QB The Hell Fire

Points 72
Starter Points 46
Sat on the bench behind Drew Brees for the first two games this year. I think that's a move we would have all made. Aaron Rogers was the new guy and we know how much new guys suck.

#2 Phillip Rivers, QB The White Tornado

Points 69
Starter Points 24
Sat on the bench behind Donovan McNabb for three games this year. His three best games of this year.

#3 Tony Romo, QB The Dirty Dozen

Points 67
Starter Points 67
RIDING THE BIG HORSE!!

#4 Jay Cutler, QB Casey's Crusaders

Points 62
Starter Points 62
RIDING THE BIG HORSE!!

#5 Drew Brees, QB The Minnesota Northboars
Points 61
Starter Points 61
RIDING THE BIG HORSE!!

#6 Kurt Warner, QB The PIK Acres

Points 60
Starter Points 60
RIDING THE BIG HORSE!!

#7 Brett Farve, QB The Iowa State Cutting Edge

Points 59
Starter Points 59
RIDING THE BIG HORSE!!

#8 Ronnie Brown, RB The Balled Egos

Points 54
Starter Points 15
Sat on the bench the first 4 games of the year while Head Coach Matt Stear played a 3 wide receiver offense.

#9 Clinton Portis, RB The Young Guns

Points 46
Starter Points 33
Sat on the bench in week 2 with fellow Gun Jonathan Stewart. Both scored 13 points. The starter that week: Ricky Williams with 0 points. "new guy"

#10 Michael Turner, RB The Balled Egos

Points 46
Starter Points 46
RIDING THE BIG HORSE!!

Special Bonus!!!

The Player who has started every game and brought the least return on the investment:

Terrell Owens, WR The Young Guns
Points 33
Starter Points 33
New Quarterback. Wonder how long before his bad numbers are Brad Johnson's fault.

I can tell you one thing. When I look at the NFL results on Tuesday I can always tell exactly who the right guys are.

Looks like you're going to have to get them riled up again.

You know, I was just looking at the starting lineups and on paper it really looks like no one else should even be the league of the Cedar Rapids Vikings. The Cutting Edge have that great backfield but the Vikings match it and have two pro-bowlers at the wide out as well. I'm not exactly sure how Mark put this team together but I'm heading to my local bookie and drop a few benjamins on the Vikings to take it all.
